Does your daughter want to travel? Many Girl Scouts do. When they see and experience new things, it's always an adventure they'll never forget! Check out travel options closer to home in the Program Guide.
In addition the the Lakes and Pines sponsored travel, girls may also wish to:
- Check out Girl Scout destinations (A destination is a nationally sponsored trip exclusively designed for Girl Scouts. After reviewing the destination options, send in your application by November 1 to the Program Specialist at GSMWLP's Waite Park Regional Center.)
- Plan a trip with their Girl Scout troop. Adults, Volunteer Essentials' Appendix for Travel Volunteers has important information about planning trips and travel with girls.
We are so excited to announce our travel options for 2017! We held an online vote to help us determine our destinations, and these are the places girls want to see!
Regional (for 4th grade and up at the time of the trip)
Apostle Islands, WI – 4 days, estimated at $450/person | Kayak through the Mawikwe Sea Caves, fish in Lake Superior, hike the trails, and enjoy the amazing scenery. Some camping may be involved.
National (for 6th grade and up at the time of the trip)
Orlando – 8 days, estimated at $1800/person | Disney theme parks, Sea World, Cocoa Beach, and Kennedy Space Center
International (for 7th grade and up at the time of the trip)
Ireland, Scotland, London – 12 days, estimated at $3800/person | Killarney, Ring of Kerry, Dublin, kiss the Blarney Stone, Edinburgh Castle, see where Shakespeare was born, London and the Girl Scout World Center. Possible extension to Paris!

College 101 Road Trip 2014
for girls in grades 6-12 in spring 2014

$75 per person
Increase your odds of success after high school by joining us on the College 101 Road Trip! Along with the basics on financial aid, applications, and scholarships, tour campuses like University of Minnesota-Duluth, The College of St. Scholastica, Lake Superior College, or University of Wisconsin-Superior.
Plus, did you know that college can actually be fun? You will have the chance to go to a sporting event or campus performance and spend time with college students to find out what college life is really like. Supervision provided; girls are welcome to attend on their own. Cost includes bus transportation from selected locations and during college tours, meals, and program supplies. Register by July 1.

Girl Scout Brownies and Juniors take the lead when they vote on their destinations and activities during this trip to explore one of the most scenic places in Minnesota! Options to consider are the Great Lakes Aquarium, the Lake Superior Zoo, Duluth Children's Museum, tour of the Glensheen Mansion, a pizza train ride on the North Shore Scenic Railroad, harbor tour on a Vista Fleet boat, walking tour of Canal Park, or even an afternoon trip to Gooseberry Falls State Park or Split Rock Lighthouse. Trip will be all-inclusive: accommodations, meals, and all entrance fees. Transportation between Duluth attractions/activities is provided; participants will provide own transportation to Duluth. Commemorative t-shirt and patch included!

Calling all adventurous Girl Scouts--we have a suggestion for a great way to celebrate your Girl Scout year! Stay for two nights in Duluth as you choose your own adventure from a whole list of exciting excursions, such as those listed in the Duluth 1 trip. Trip will be all-inclusive: accommodations, transportation, meals, and all entrance fees. Transportation between Duluth attractions/activities is provided; participants will provide own transportation to Duluth. Commemorative t-shirt and patch included!
New York City 2014

Girls will get the final vote on some of the daily attractions, but options could include: Empire State Building, Radio City Music Hall, tour at the Girl Scouts National Headquarters, play/musical on Broadway, Times Square, 9/11 Memorial, Central Park, DJ Dinner Dance Cruise, shopping on 5th Avenue, Chinatown, Little Italy, and possibly attend a taping of the Today Show! Trip will be all-inclusive: accommodations, transportation, meals, and all entrance fees. Commemorative t-shirt and patch included!

The Windy City has some of the coolest attractions in the country! Head to the Sky Deck at the top of the Willis Tower and step out into the glass boxes at over 1,300 feet above the ground! We'll also take in the sights at Navy Pier and Grant Park. There are many museums to choose from: the Adler Planetarium, Shedd Aquarium, the Field Museum, the Art Institute of Chicago, or the Museum of Science and Industry. Girls on this trip will get to help choose the destinations, so register early. Trip will be all-inclusive: accommodations, transportation, meals, and all entrance fees.
