Girl Scouting builds girls of courage, confidence
and character, who make the world a better place.

Thank you, Volunteers
Girl Scout Leader’s Day is on April 22. Girl Scouts are showing appreciation to the adult volunteers in every community who give their time generously to build leadership skills for girls at appreciation events. This year’s theme is Girl Scout Volunteers Rock. Adult volunteers are being recognized by girls and families and the staff and board of Girl Scouts of Minnesota and Wisconsin Lakes and Pines at events in St. Cloud, Walker, Brainerd, and Duluth.
Amanda Unger, from Baxter, designed the artwork for a thank you card being sent to Girl Scouts 2,800 adult volunteers throughout northern Minnesota and northwest Wisconsin. Unger is in sixth grade and is a Girl Scout Cadette. Her design is above.
Honorable mention in the artwork design contest went to:
Kealey Pank, Troop 4151 Duluth
Savannah B. Adams, Troop 4153 Duluth
Hailey Devriendt, Troop 423 Royalton
(View Kealey, Savannah, and Hailey's designs on our Facebook page).
Volunteer Contest
As a small token of appreciation, our staff and board sent all adult volunteers registered with Girl Scouts of Minnesota and Wisconsin Lakes and Pines a vinyl window cling.
We encourage volunteers to show us how you’re displaying your Girl Scout Volunteers Rock window cling and you could win a prize! Simply take a picture that includes your cling and
post it to Girl Scouts of Minnesota and Wisconsin Lakes and Pines Facebook
page or E-mail communityrelations@gslakesandpines.org. Winners will be
selected from all entries received weekly between April 22-May 31, 2013.
