Do you want to make a difference in a girl's life?
You can.
For more than 90 years, women and men have partnered with Girl Scouts to help girls discover their potential.
Whether you have an hour, a day, a weekend or more, the energy and experiences you share with Girl Scouts will last a lifetime.
Our volunteers are rewarded as they help build community, inspire girls, enhance their own skills and connect with new people.
Not much time to share or cannot make a regular commitment? No problem. We'll match your needs with the needs of girls.
Volunteer Opportunities Here are just a few ways you can help girls in your community:
- Lead or co-lead a troop.
- Share your specific skills at a troop meeting or council program.
- Plan events.
- Manage a Cookie Sale for a troop.
- Be a chaperone for activities and field trips
Contact Lakes and Pines for information on area troops, groups and other opportunities.
Training Provided At Girl Scouts, we want to ensure all of volunteers are equipped with the knowledge they need to be success. We provide training in group session or through independent study.
We offer basic training for all our volunteers and more specialized training for troop leaders. Girl Scout troop leaders complete orientation, a Leader Basics class, and possibly other training depending on the needs of the group.
