Forest, Fields, & Fairies
This year's Day Camp Theme is Forest, Fields, and Fairies. They are everywhere within our council borders. They support a variety of plants, animals, birds and insects. Fields and forests create habitats that support many living things including ourselves. They not only impact our air quality, water and other natural resources but they provide recreation areas that we must protect for others and the future. Understanding the role of the forests and fields in our area will help the girls of today be sensitive and knowledgeable as they become leaders.

A typical day
In day camp, girls participate in program planning, meet new girls, and learn to feel at home in the outdoors. Below is the scheduled for a typical day. Actual activities will vary by location, age group, and prior experience.
- Song Circle
- Opening flag ceremony
- Morning activities (i.e. games, craft, ecology, Girl Scout badgework)
- Lunch (cookout)
- Afternoon activities
- Closing flag ceremony
