Camp Shingobee Timbers

More than 170 acres of adventure awaits 600 girls each summer at Camp Shingobee Timbers. From kayaking and climbing wall to crafts and campfires, Shingobee Timbers offers something for every girl.

Located in the Chippewa National Forest near Walker, Minnesota, Shingobee has welcomed campers year-round for 25 years.

Girls spend most of their time outside at Big Bass lake, in the woods or around a campfire with girls who signed up for the same camp and our fun camp counselors.

Girls may sleep in one of the program center dorm rooms, tent cabins or tents. Their camp counselors sleep in nearby tents or tent cabins so they are always close if the girls need them at night.

Camp Activities

Each day, girls can work on badges and do activities about the session they choose. Girls and their friends can choose to do a variety of activities, including: swimming, archery, crafts, cook outs, high adventure course, low ropes, campfires and more.

Girls also can visit the camp's store, The Trading Post, to buy stuffed animals, t-shirts, water bottles, jewelry, and other cool stuff. Items range in price from $1 and up.

Bring A Friend

Girl Scouts can bring friends, even if they are not currently Girl Scouts. The friend's camp session costs the registration fee plus $12 and registers them as a Girl Scout.  To bring a friend, complete separate registrations and mail in the same envelope. Girls must put each other's name on the registration form and register for the same session.
