Deadline: 3 pm, Monday, November 12, 2012 The day’s learning sessions are designed to develop your leadership expertise so that you can create new opportunities for your Girl Scouts to Discover, Connect, and Take Action. They are also designed to build your network of Girl Scout friends and mentors and to give you a chance to share your experiences with others. Most of all, you will be learning and sharing skills that you will be taking back to the most important young women in your life, the girls in your troop or community. New Leader Orientation Training (NLOT) – Assist new troop volunteers with the basic steps of how to get their troop meetings up and running and how to guide girls in their participation choices thought out their Girl Scout adventure. Event Planning – How to plan and implement a safe, low cost event for girls in your troop or SU. Songs and Games – tools to take back to your troop or other occasions – CD included Troop Trip Progression - What is age appropriate, what trips can you go on, and how do you go about doing this.
