Gold Award Workshop| Monday, February 16 | Noon-2 PM | Waite Park Regional Center | Girls grades 9-12/ interested adults | Cost: Free

Have some free time on President's Day?  Interested in learning more about the Girl Scout Gold Award, including the role of adults, the approval process, and the characteristics of a successful Take Action project? This is your chance to learn more about the Gold Award and get feedback on your project ideas.  RSVP with Director of Program Tricia Andrews, 320-252-2952 ext 8879 or tandrews@gslakesandpines.org.

Girls must attend a Gold Award orientation before they submit their project proposa. While we offer monthly telephone conferences as a convenient way to fulfill this requirement, this in-person meeting also meets this requirement.  Additional details are at http://www.gslakesandpines.org/pages/LeadershipAwards/.

Girl Scout Gold Award Mentor Committee Training | Saturday, April 18 | 9 AM-4:30 PM |Caribou Coffee, St. Cloud

Why consider being part of the Girl Scout Gold Award committee?  Those who are already on the committee will tell you that it is fun.  Really!  They might also tell you how rewarding it is to see girls develop through the Gold Award process.  We see such a transormation. Something magic happen between their first sometimes shaky interview  with the committee to that final meeting several months later.  When girls return to present  their final report, we see articulate, poised and confident young women.  Young women who know that through their hard work, creativity and determination, they truly and concretely made the world a better place.

We are seeking additional committee members from all corners of our council; consider joining us April 18 in St. Cloud to part of this dynamic and purposeful goup.  Meals and volunter mileage reimbursement provided. For more information, please contact Director of Program Tricia Andrews at tandrews@gslakesandpines.org.
